People listen to you if you have the power and behaves like a leader.
They have the power of irresistible influence. That can attract anyone like magnet.
In the same way, people listen to kings and nobility with high status, you can get others to listen to you when you grasp the 4 key traits of an authoritative leaders.
What are they?
Authoritative Traits #1 – Calmness
A good leader is always calm and collected. Cool as a cucumber. Even in the most threatening of situations, he is unruffled. Nothing fazes him.
You want to emulate this exact same body languages.
The way you talk as a leader is important too.
If you are going to speak hesitantly with lotsa of “uhmmms” and “ahhhh”, what does that tell others about you?
You are basically saying you are hesitant and lack confidence.
That can kill off your credibility. And severely erode your persuasive power.
Authoritative Traits #2 – Use of Space
Leaders make very good use of space. They open themselves up to the world.
If you want to be the same – you need to be comfortable in your own skin. Make yourself known. Not make yourself non existent.
However don’t go overboard and over do it.
Don’t spread yourself too excessively wide such as taking up too much space when you are sitting down like some youngster.
That only says you are insecure. Because you are trying to over-compensate. Remember – doing it in the right amount is key.
Never too much. Or too little.
That’s what set you apart from the rest of the crowd.
Authoritative Traits #3 – Daring To Expose Your Vulnerable Parts
If you learn martial arts, you will know that there are 3 particular weak spots you can attack.
They are your throat, belly and groin.
If someone strikes you there with sufficient force, it can even kill you.
Now this is not a martial arts lesson here. What I’m trying to show you is that a leader will knowingly expose such vulnerable parts to others, even at a risk to his well-being.
Why?
Because they want to announce to the world they are safe. They ARE IN CONTROL. Nothing will happen. Because I’m the leader here. Who dares touch me?
Only a person with authority will act this way! Can you do the same?
Authoritative Traits #4 – Steady Eye Contact
Someone who is nervous tend to have very shifty eyes. They are very conscious of their surroundings. And they are wary.
A leader have steady eye contacts with everyone. Again as mentioned earlier – he is calm and composed.
He has a still mind and body – epitome of cool.
So question to ask yourself now. Do you have what it takes to be a leader? To possess the secret power of persuasion and influence?
If not, start acquiring the above mentioned traits and be one TODAY!
There’s no reason why you can’t have the same mesmerizing hypnotic powers as them if you keep at it.
Yours Sincerely,
